Nice work, it looks like you are just as much of a green thumb as I am. If a plant requires more than me watering it occasionally and some sunshine, it's a gonner. Let's hope that doesn't indicate the kind of mother I'm going to be.
Well, it tried. Or maybe it felt the pressure and withered in shame, knowing that at the first sign of failure it would be replaced by a big-shot basil plant from the farmers' market.

That could be. Or, it maaay be due to the fact that we left on vacation and totally neglected it for a week. *shameful face*
