What kind of freak thing is the mockingbird?? Seriously, have you ever heard one? I have the pleasure of sitting by the window to the back yard which serves as some kind of aviary, truly. I get all kinds of birds here. I love several and have my favorites but the Mockingbird! that takes the cake. It's so totally bizarre though. It's like a freakshow. It sings so many different songs, so many strange, beautiful, crazy songs, but in such rapid succession. What's it trying to do? Who are you talking to? Are you trying to steal away ALL the girl birds? How is it that any other birds mate at all if THIS guy can play any tune to tickle a female's fancy? Or do they all think he's a jerk and just showing off. I could see that, but man! I wish I could do that.
