confession

When I am invited to a friendly gathering of friends these days, I rarely offer to bring something. This is not because I forget, though sometimes i actually do, but it's more often due to the fact that I grow lazier by the second and just don't want to bring another thing. Amazingly, we still sometimes get invites. ha ha. (dear friends who invite me: i think you're swell.)

Alright, give me one of yours you've been thinking about lately. Let it out.

  1. I'm going to put this on my blog, too, but every night when I open my scriptures to read my daily chapter, if it's a short chapter, I'm really happy about that. Some day I hope to love reading the scriptures as much as I love a good novel! But that day has certainly not arrived yet...

Don't feel guilty about the food. I never offer because it never even occurs to me. How clueless is that??? (Although if I thought you were going to make chocolate pudding cups, I would definitely be hoping that you would offer!)

  2. I'm really bad at getting gifts for people. Part of it is money (trying to find something I can afford), part of it is forgetting, and part of it is sheer laziness. I always feel really bad and I keep hoping to do better next time. I'll keep you posted on if I actually do better or not...

  3. I don't mop my kitchen floor. I just pull out two wet wipes, stand on them, and then just shuffle around a little. I'm almost too ashamed to post this. Almost.

  4. When I was around 5, I stole a pack of gum from the grocery store when I was shopping with my mom. To this day I'm not sure if she knows.

  5. Andrew, how can anyone top that, now? Way to put the kibosh on any further comments, besides this one.

    (But I did laugh.)

  6. Here are all of my thoughts on all of your confessions:

Joel, you'd better tell her. Clear your conscience.

Natalie: I hear ya. But i don't think this is really anything to confess. It's hard to buy gifts for people because it's like, where does it end? Who do I draw the line at??? I'm a giver.

Scoresbys: I totally lol'ed at this. Love love it. Kind of like when I spill water on the floor and i'm like, sweet! wipe it up, now i've mopped.

Others: i laughed at yours, you are funny.
