Man, you know it's going to be a long week when it feels like it's Friday on a Monday. Whew! *pant pant pant*. I'm shocked we actually made it.
I'm not sure what to say today but I need to put something up. I'm sure it will be great. I'm going to trust my natural funniness to come through for me and the pinch i am currently in. Geez, or not, since it took me 30,000 tries to type "funniness" right. f-u-n-n-i-e-s. f-u-n-n-i-n-e-s. f-u-n-n-e-s-s. And in the end, "funniness" is not that great of a word. I feel like i have finger lethargy. I guess that's unnecessarily specific. If my fingers are lethargic, chances are good the rest of me is too.
So here are the thoughts I have for today. First of all, I have been reading Eats, Shoots & Leaves (finally.. i feel like the rest of the planet read this years ago) and have found another soul friend in this author, Lynne Truss. I share her exact feelings about punctuation and her stickler-ness, and i have a favorite passage i'd like to share with you:
"To those who care about punctuation, a sentence such as "Thank God its Friday" (without the apostrophe) rouses feelings not only of despair but of violence. The confusion of the possessive "its" (no apostrophe) with the contractive "it's" (with apostrophe) is an unequivocal signal of illiteracy and sets off a simple Pavlovian "kill" response in the average stickler," (page 43).
So true. So... true.
I was walking outside the other day and had a vision come to me. I realized I knew exactly what kind of boots i wanted this season, and i saw them, perfect and glorious, in my mind's eye. Unfortunately, they do not exist. I've looked [online] everywhere. I'll try to describe them:
Oxford shoe boots. They're lace-up boots, about mid-calf height, no heel and GOLD. Gold gold gold!!! I love the gold footwear. It goes with everything. 3 cheers for metallics. I can't cheer enough. Rah rah rah rah rah RAH! I guess 6 cheers for them. Anyway, here's something i found that looks sort of like what i want. Actually, I would gladly take these--they're awesome. Granny boots? Hello. Yes, please. But still, not quite what i envisioned.

So buy some black ones (probably much easier to find), and I'm sure Sean could paint them gold and awesome for you.
Those look uncomfortable. But I hear you about the gold shoes. I have owned my favorite pair of shoes for over 10 years now. They are/were gold and somewhat glittery. I love them. Unfortunately they are so old the souls have split and there are holes in the toes. Tragic. I think gold paint is a good idea.
I hate when my soul splits. But at least I get a horcrux out of it.
On the morning of my graduation from high school my awesome high heels were somehow found scrutched, filthy (as if someone had been using them to climb trees...) and unusable in the back of a bunch of crap in my closet. My dad, in maybe one of the most touching moments of my life, saved me from the impending and vast wrath of my mother, airbrushed them the exact shade of my dress. I was the envy of every single girl on the platform (like that wasn't going to happen anyway).
If you've found a matchy-match style wise, Windsor and Newton makes some bangin' metallic airbrush inks.... Maybe that husband-guy of yours could hook you up? Fashion dreams are meant to be lived.
