If you're like me, you like to challenge yourself involving small, meaningless day-to-day tasks, and one of those challenges is to finish the glass no matter what.
Drinking a large glass of water is a dangerous thing. I always thought it cumbersome and the longest seconds of my life, but I never really paid much attention to the way I toy with a little game called my own LIFE.
If you think about it, you'll see it too. Thirst. That's an important survival need one must meet. Drinking water. Everyone has to do it. So you're soooo thirsty and you rehydrate with a huge glass of water. This'll do me good, you might even think. Also if you're like me, you don't pay much attention to your breathing while this is happening. I mean, it's not like I take a huge breath before I take a whopping drink of water like I would before plunging my whole self into some. But I probably should. Because you are holding your breath, whether you know it or not. What happens is that many times, I'm drinking, drinking, drinking, and suddenly I go from life-threatening thirst to OHHH AAAGH I'M SUFFOCATING. Life-threatening asphyxiation.
Now, you may suggest I breathe while drinking but I will not. I'm not a mid-drink breather. That takes too much work. And like, how much time do i want to spend with my face in a cup? No, it's do or die with this. And either outcome is possible. That's just how I live.
